Nanohale develops proprietary nanoparticle-based carrier systems for pharmaceutical formulations. Its focus lies on medications for which delivery has until now only been possible by conventional means such as parenteral injection or infusion, or where there is a significant clinical need to improve bioavailability or target specificity. The nano-carrier system from Nanohale helps protect against attack from enzymes and improves permeability of the active substances through membranes, thus enabling new and more convenient modes of application such as nasal or pulmonary inhalation. The first of its products under development are currently entering the preclinical study phase.
